1. Q: how long have you had your own business?
A. I've had my billing company, MOMS, for 25 years.
2. Q: How did you come up with your business idea?
A: I figured that many doctors would need a billing company, but by hiring me
as an outside consultant they are saving money because they don't pay me as
an in office employee.
3. Q: How do u market your business?
A: I market my business on the SF Medical Society. I put my business through
a lot of exposure and am constantly in connection with people that are doing the
sane thing. You really have to put yourself out there to be able to market your
business.
4. Q: Have you encountered any problems with your business?
A: Oh yeah, clients, doctors not being honest about what they report. I've
actually lost money because someone didn't give me all the information. Also,
sometimes they get behind on sending checks, and having a costumer service in
case of information being wrong.
5. Q: Do you enjoy working at home and why?
A: Before Fabi it was very hard. Interruptions are hard and you have to have
self-discipline. You have to have office hours and family hours so you don't get
distracted easily. You can also run errands and you don’t have to pay for office
rent or pay for gas.
6. Q: Are you an employee as well as en entrepreneur?
A: I have to be employed for the corporation.
7. Q: Do you have any employees?
A: Just Fabi. When I had first started I had 9 but have downsized since.
8. Q: Have you considered any alliances/partnerships?
A: I have and seriously considered doing it with my leather making.
9. Q: what would you do if you weren't an entrepreneur?
A: I still would be working with doctors but I would probably be doing the same
thing every single day.
10. Q: Do you have any investors?
A: No
